Leaving El Burgo, you will pass by a large pond and keep going on a road surrounded by trees, having the railroad line (León-Palencia) on your right.

After 10 km, the road goes on a huge and monotone moor. Before crossing the railroad line, you will leave the village of Villamarco on the your left. From there, the landscape becomes more abrupt. Having passed by a river bend, you will get to the stream and to Santa María Valley. Soon, you will get to Reliego, where you will go through Calle Mayor.

From this village, you will start going down the moors towards Mansilla de las Mulas, on the wide valley of river Esla. 5,5 km away from Castilla, in Mansilla suburbs, the path surrounded by trees ends. Next, you will have to cross Cistierna road and enter Mansilla de las Mulas via the southern entrance.
