Leaving the pilgrim’s shelter, you will descend the steep main street of Portomarín to the C-135 road, later turning left to cross a narrow footbridge over the Belesar reservoir. After this, you will start bordering and ascending the north face of San Antonio Hill, seeing the River Torres on the right. Having walked 2 km, you will come back to the C-135 on the detour to San Mamed. On the right, you will find the Cortapezas Worker’s House (Caserío); on the left, a pottery.
2 Km after this, you will arrive at Toxibo and then at Gonzar. You will leave this last one taking the road to the left and then a path, leading to Castromaior. You will keep walking on a path surrounded by oaks, pine trees and brooms.
Later on, you will get to the road again, following it 1 km and then turning to the left on a path leading to Hospital de la Cruz. Then, you will cross a paved road that, after 10 km, finishes on the N-547, in Brea. The itinerary during these 10 km is the following: after 1,5 km you get to Ventas de Narón; then, you will go up to Lingonde mountains, and after this, down to Prebisa, Lameiros and the village of Ligonde. Keep going down, cross the River Ligonde and then ascend to Eirexe, continuing to the road to Monterroso, where you will initiate the descent to Portos.
After leaving Portos, you will take the right turn to the famous Vilar de Donas Romanesque temple, located 3 km away, on the other side of the N-547. Having walked 1 km, you will pass by Lestedo and Santiago’s Church (on the left) and will continue to Valos. Finally, after 1 km, you will leave behind the place called Mamurria, and get to the N-547, to Brea.
You will keep walking on a path parallel to the road and after 3 km you will arrive at Palas de Rei. On the left side, before entering the town, you will see the municipal sports centre.
